just another day…

today was a busy one at work, so the plan was thrown a little. My eating routine stayed on target, because I had food pre-made and it was only a matter of opening the fridge and throwing it in the bag! A couple of baked chicken breasts and some nuts made for a good low-carb meal, and I was very satisfied.

What I lost was workout time, but the weather is nice enough where I’ll take a late nite walk and work off some calories.

I am so excited about weigh-in day on Thursday. I am hoping for a 8-10 lb weight loss for week one.

I had a meeting tonight with my writing group, and it went very well! We’re working on our third book, and it’s coming together nicely. These kind of great meetings really fuel my passion, and truly energizes me.

  1. Chris–your diet is 90% of your success, believe me. I’m proud of you that you are realizing that. Good job packing a cooler and having everything pre-made. Planning makes everything a no brainer. Ok-the workout stuff you missed…don’t beat yourself up. Here’s an alternative if you couldn’t make it to the gym–depending on what body part you were supposed to work, you can still get an at-home quickie workout. Legs -hold on to a chair and do lunges/squats–For a quickie workout–you can be done in 15 minutes. For the day–since you followed through w/your food-I’d still give you a sticker. (I have a calendar that I keep for JUST my workouts and give myself stickers each day i complete something. Now that It’s been over a year and I’ve got my new habits in place, they are routine-I only give myself stickers for my running program. Try it-it’s fun. You can buy fun stickers. Hey! It makes me smile to reward myself for a good day. Keep up the great work! HIGH FIVE!
